Making Maths accessible with Cindy (and a little help from Sandra Dee)

April 15th, 2008 Posted in Inspirational ideas and people, Liam O'Marah, Your Stories

The Promethean US team have just announced the results of an innovative video contest called ‘Enter my Activworld’, offering a prize for the best video submitted that documents the impact their whiteboard has had in the classroom.

The winning video, from Maths teacher Cindy Wallace at Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, LA, USA, is a great testament to the Activboard as a visual aid to teaching and the comments from her pupils about their lessons being ‘fun’ are inspiring…and after all, who wouldn’t want to have fun whilst still learning?!

Personally, I love how Cindy has involved her class at the beginning of the video in the Grease style ‘Summer Loving’ intro - what a way start to a Maths lesson!
